Reginald Dugas 2020

We, the family of Reginald Bernard Dugas, regret to announce his passing on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at home in St. Catharines,ON.
Born December 13, 1947, in Little Bras d’Or, he was the son of Flora (Taylor) Dugas and the late Justin Dugas.
Reg loved his yearly trips back home to Cape Breton and spending time with all his brothers and sisters. The Bras d’Or lakes were always special to Reg and he often spoke of their beauty. He could always make everyone laugh with his quick wit and was famous for his magnificent storytelling. Going out for breakfast with Cameron, his grandson, was one of his favourite things to do. He was a hard worker all his life, driving transport trucks right up until two months ago at the age of 72. But, what Reg will always be remembered for is his huge giving heart! He would give you the shirt off his back. To know him was to love him. And, the world is a little darker without his light. Rest in Peace my sweet father. Until we meet again.
Besides his mother, Reginald is survived by his daughters, Lisa and Sarah Dugas; sons, Reggie, Walter and Justin Dugas; grandchildren, Mathew, Justin, Jaidah, Cameron, Ava, Leah, Brilynn, Scarlett,Vincent, Jude and Ariya; sisters, Theresa MacKay, Yvonne Miller, Florie Armstrong, Yvette Hockenhutt, Verne Dugas, Arlene Dugas and Monique Baxendale; and brothers, Gerard, Blair and Justin Dugas.
A graveside service will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Little Bras d’Or on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Peter MacLeod officiating. Following the service, a celebration of life will be held for close family and friends.
