SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – It is with great sadness
that we announce the passing of Reginald Joseph Babin on Saturday,
February 1, 2020 at the age of 83. He was the eldest son of
the late Jean-Baptist Babin and the late Bertha (Vautour)
Babin. Reginald was the husband of Mildred (Steeves) Babin
of Saint-Louis-de-Kent, NB. The death occurred at Foyer Bois
Joli Inc, Saint-Louis-de-Kent, NB where he had resided for the past
year.
Reginald worked for the Department of Natural Resources for
38 years. He liked gardening and fishing at the
dunes.
Reginald is survived by his wife of 60 years Mildred; his
daughter, Bernardine Slack (late Peter) and his grandson, Scott David
Slack.
Reginald will be sadly missed by his two sisters, Violette
Cormier (Normand), Blanche Craig (Vinnie); one brother, Hermel Babin
(Nancy); also, five nieces, Monique, Rachel, Martha, Kim, Nicole; four
nephews, Cary, Kevin, Randy, Michael and many
cousins.
Reginald is predeceased by one infant sister, Gilberte and
two brothers, the late George Babin (Noella) and the late Bruno Babin
(late Louise).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 pm
until departure for the funeral at Thompson Memorial Home,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on
Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 3:00 pm, St. Louis des
Français Roman Catholic Church,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent. The family wish to express a sincere
thank you to the staff at Foyer Bois Joli Inc. for their support and
expert care that Reginald received while in their care.
Donations in Reginald’s memory may be made to the charity of
the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in care of
Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
