RICHIBUCTO, NB – Regina Vegelahn 96, of Foyer Bois
Jolis, Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris
Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Monday, March 23, 2020. Born
in Claire-Fontaine, she was the daughter of the late Fidele Vautour
and late Lucie (Vautour) Vautour. Regina enjoyed baking for
her family, especially her homemade bread. She also loved to
garden and feed her birds.
Regina will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Mary
Sullivan (Sean) of Richibucto, Linda Vegelahn (Clovis) of Moncton,
Sandra Vegelahn of Moncton; two very special granddaughters, Colleen
Sullivan of Calgary, Carrie Sullivan of Kingston, ON and two great
granddaughters, Olivia and Fiona who she
adored.
She is also survived by one sister, Alice Allain (late
Clarence) of St. Louis and several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Ralph Vegelahn; four sisters, Melida, Suzanne, Lucie, Laura; three
brothers, Fred, Leonide, Patrick and a special nephew,
Ti-Fred.
As per Regina’s wishes there will be no visitation
or funeral service. A private family graveside service will
be held at a later date. Donations in Regina’s
memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick at 320
Maple Street Fredericton, NB, E3A 3R4 and would be appreciated by the
family. The family wish to express a special thank you to
Foyer Bois Joli for their dedicated care and compassion shown to
Mom. Also, thank you to Dr. Pierre LeBlanc for his loving
care, to the staff at the Stella Maris Hospital and to
Thompson’s Funeral Home for their professional
service.
