Rebecca Thurlow [ nee McLeman ]
Born South Shields England
February 16, 1927 – February 9, 2020
It is with great sadness the family of Rebecca announce her peaceful passing with her daughter and Son holding her hand.
Predeceased by her loving husband Dennis.
Survived by sister Anne [Gary] sons Jim [Ling], Alistair and daughter Barbara [Ron]
Rebecca passed away at Saint Joseph’s, The Views Comox BC.
Rebecca will be fondly remembered by her 7 grand children and 7 great grandchildren
Rebecca proudly served in the WRENS WWII where she participated in the surrender of the German fleet in the British Navy base at Scapa Flow Scotland.
Rebecca and family immigrated to Toronto in 1960 then to the Comox Valley where she happily spent the remainder of her life.
I would like to take this time to thank Dr. Hunter and all of the staff of the Views for the outstanding care and love they gave our mother.
