Obituary of Raymond “Ray” Black
Raymond Lloyd Black passed away peacefully at his home in Mexico on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the young age of 62 years.
Ray is survived by: two children, Jeffery Black of Meota and Dayna (Cody) Hirsche of North Battleford; six grandchildren; one sister, Lynn (Paul) Rutherford of Neilburg; one brother, Brent Black of Neilburg; loving nieces and nephew; as well as other relatives.
Ray was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd and Lois Black.
Ray was born to be wild, there is no doubt. Throughout his life he raced competitively in his early years and then settled in Murray Lake SK where he raised his two children. His love for racing didn’t stop there, however, he continued to water ski, race Sea Doos, and enjoy the outdoors. Over the years, he spent much of his time in Mexico. Each time, his love for the Country and the people grew stronger. Eventually he was able to build a nice little place for himself and ultimately ended up calling Mexico his Home. In his recent years he enjoyed looking after Big Manitou Lake Regional Park Golf Course and spending time with his grandchildren in the summers. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at Big Manitou Lake Regional Park in July 2020.
Private Interment will be held at the Wycollar Cemetery.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to all for your kind wishes and condolences. Special thanks to Lynn and Paul Rutherford for absolutely everything you did and continue to do.
Donations in loving memory of Ray may be made to the Big Manitou Lake Regional Park or to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Raymond Ray
