Raymond George Nicholls
September 19, 1926 – October 15, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond George Nicholls at the age of 94. Loving husband to Margaret (Peggy) for over 70 years, and father to Lynda (Roman Towarnicki) and David (Lucie) Nicholls. Grandfather to Kate (Adam) Drew (Kelsie) Steve (Brittany) Andrea (Brendan) and Stephanie (Adam). Great Grandfather to Reese, Alice, Clark, Tucker and Cassie. Born in Coventry U.K. in 1926, he spent many years with the Boy Scouts and playing rugby at St. George’s. Military duties took him to Palestine as a peacekeeper. Emmigrated to Canada in 1966. Worked at Orenda in Canada as a jet engine foreman and technical service analyst until retirement in 1986. An avid soccer and baseball fan…GO LIVERPOOL. GO BLUE JAYS. Cruising the world, he loved travelling. He will be remembered by friends and family as a kind, caring, devoted family man with a keen sense of humour. A man of integrity with a zest for life. His love of reading included WW II history and biographies of which he was extremely knowledgeable. Survived by his sister Margaret. Predeceased by his siblings; Stanley, Eric, Ken and Maisie. His gentle soul will be missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday October 23, 2020 at 11 am at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville.
