The passing of Raymond Emmerson Wilson of Fredericton, NB, the husband of Monique Comeau, occurred on Wednesday, January 2, 2020, at Hospice House, Fredericton.

Born on October 18, 1949 in Sus, NB, he was the eldest son of Dorothy (Elliott) Wilson and the late Adam Wilson. Ray was the best dad ever, and his family was his pride and joy. He was always ready to go out of his way to help in whatever way he could. He was an avid traveller and a hockey player alongside his brothers. He also had an accomplished career in provincial government and private business. Ray was an active member of his community, including as a past president of the Fredericton Rotary Club, a volunteer with the Red Cross, and with his church. Ray was loved and respected by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife and mother, Ray is survived by his daughters, Laura Wilson (Corey) and Kelsey Wilson (Mike); step-children, Kurt Witzell and Kimberley Brideau; brothers, Glen Wilson (Judy), Dale Wilson (Kim) and Gordon Wilson (Anita); as well as many loved nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 4-6 pm.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 6:30 pm at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel. Interment will take place in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice House, Fredericton or a charity of your choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
