Obituary of Ran Singh Gill
Ran beloved husband of, the late Surjit Kaur of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at the age of 90years.
Ran was born in Chuhar Chak, Punjab, India on November 01, 1929.
He was a member of the INCA Senior Citizen Society. He loved playing “seep” with his friends there.
Ran accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his family and spending time with his grandchildren gave him great joy.
Ran had a passion for gardening he had the most amazing gardens. He was a big Calgary Flames fan and enjoyed watching them in action. He enjoyed traveling going back to his hometown and bringing back stories.
Ran is survived by his children Sukhdev Kaur and Harnam from Seattle, WA, Baldev Kaur and Daljit Singh from Punjab, India; his daughter-in-law Balbir Gill fro Calgary, AB; his grandchildren Amandeep Singh from Seattle, WA, Rajveer Kaur, Narinder Singh from Seattle, WA, Ruby Gill and Robby Chatha from Calgary, AB, Dashmeet Gill from Calgary, AB Harpreet Gill from Calgary, AB as well as great-grandchildren Esha, Inder, Evelyn, Jason and Saje.
Ran was predeceased by his loving wife Surjit; his son Gurdev.
A private service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street NW.
