Ranjit Kaur SIDHU 2020

Ranjit Kaur Sidhu, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Foothills Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She was born in 1917, in Chahalpur village, District Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India. She was happily married to Bishan Singh Sidhu and lived in Mansurpur until 2009 when she relocated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Ranjit Kaur’s life was full of love, hard work and happiness. Despite moving to Calgary later in life, which posed certain challenges, she quickly adapted and enjoyed spending her summer days with her grandchildren and great grandchildren swinging in the sunshine. When she was not busy crocheting blankets for loved ones, she enjoyed spending time with extended family and sharing past stories.
People were often surprised, especially the airline staff, for her love of travel even at the age of 100. What truly brought her joy was the time she spent with her family. Her strong work ethic inspired those fortunate enough to know her. Everyone was naturally drawn to her warmth, kindness, and light heartedness. Ranjit Kaur lived a long, happy, and fulfilling life. She will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral Services will be held at COUNTRY HILLS CREMATORIUM & FUNERAL SERVICES, 11995 – 16 Street NE on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
Following the Service, final Prayers and Langar will be at the Dashmesh Culture Center Gurdwara at 135 Martindale Blvd. N.E.
