Ramona (Mona) Mary Foran of Losier Hall and formally of Tabusintac, NB, passed away at her residence on June 12, 2020 at the age of 91. Born in Hardwicke, NB, she was the daughter of the late David and Janet Jenkins. Romona’s teaching career spanned almost 38 years at NSER, Sunny Corner, NB. She was dedicated to her profession and was well respected by her students. Her pastime consisted of crocheting, baking, an avid reader, genealogy, spending time with her grandchildren and knitting.
She is survived by: her two daughters: Janet (Mike) Currie of Moncton,NB; Karen (Urban) Schaefer of Tabusintac, NB; and three sons: Richard (Dianne) of Fredericton, NB, Stephen (Lorna) of Lyttleton, NB and Greg (Claudia) of Whitney, NB and 11 grandchildren, Adam, Tyler, Michael, Jordan, Mandy, Melana, Laura, Spencer, Shelby, Sarah, Ryan, one great granddaughter: Avalynn and two great grandsons: Coulton and Miles; brother: Gerald (Isabel) of Hardwicke, NB; sister: Carmel (Donald) Fraser of Loggieville, NB.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by: former husband: Sterling Foran; sisters: Bernetta, Patricia and brothers: David and Wayne.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a private family funeral held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel with Father John Keoughan officiating followed by a private burial in St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Hardwicke, NB.
In Mona’s memory, donations may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
