At the St. Joseph’s Villa, Cornwall on Monday, September 7, 2020. Ralph Ferguson MacDonald of Cornwall; age 92 years. Dear father of Beth Lortie (David) of Maple Ridge, B.C., Susan Dodson (late Jeffrey) of Holley, N.Y., Marnie Rand (Steve), and Bill MacDonald (Jenni) both of Cornwall. Predeceased by his loving wife Phyllis and his only brother Eric. He was the loving grandfather of 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Ralph had a special and loving relationship with Marian and Art MacRae and Betty Trip. He was a graduate of Ottawa Teachers’ College, and the University of Ottawa. In addition, he had earned a Supervisor’s Certificate in vocal music as well as a Specialist’s Certificate in Special Education. Ralph was a long time Director of Music at the First Baptist Church. Attendance controlled visitation will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt St. Cornwall (613-938-3888) on Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 7-9 pm and on Friday from 10 am -10:30 am. Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 310 York St., on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery. Facemasks will need to be worn at all times in the Funeral Home and at First Baptist Church.
