R. Lee’s Obituary
It’s with a heavy heart that I have to announce the passing of my life partner and best friend Lee Gillis. Lee loved his times with our extended family. He was so proud of all of his kids, Derek (Sabrina,Brooke, Kendall & Shay) Gillis, Blair (Karen) Gillis, Amber (Troy) Gillis, Aaron (Ashley, Jacob & Austin) Wright and Adam (Melanie & Kylie) Wright. His grandchildren were his world. From Christmas get together’s and washer toss tournaments, he would keep our tribe under control “go to bed you guys”. He will be missed by all whose life he touched. Go in peace now, we love you. Lee is survived by his life partner Barb March, father Evan Gillis (Carol), sisters Sue (Jason), Vicki and Jennifer (Rob and Ally) and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his mother Cora Gillis. There will be no funeral service by Lee’s request. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, July 4th, for family and close friends at 8048 Route 311, The Falls – from 2-5 pm (Respecting all covid 19 regulations)

  1. Evan and Family, David called me yesterday and told me of the all to early passing of Lee. I am very sorry to hear I have lost an old friend. One who enjoyed with me many, many, many games of crib, fishing and a bit of hunting. Turning power turns in the snow on the wharf in your Volvo and many other young guy things. We had a lot of fun. I will be able to remember all of these things and much more over and over. I am very sorry that we never continued our close contact after I left Pugwash, never enough time on those trips home. I do however have many found memories of being at your home in Pugwash with Lee growing up.
I wish Lee’s family and you all, many blessings and many found memories

    Les Allen
