It is with great sadness and much love we announce the passing of James Plastow at the age of 56.
James was born in Edmonton, Alberta on July 23, 1964 to Linda Holmes and Gerald Plastow. James spent his high school years in Campbell River, British Columbia where he graduated from Southgate Secondary High School in 1982. After studying at Red Deer College, The University of Lethbridge, and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, James had a successful career in the world of business. James settled in St. Albert started his career with Trafco Canada and then moved to their parent company Alberta Traffic Supply where he eventually served as Vice President of operations. Recently James had begun a new chapter in his career by joining Northgate Industries where he immediately made a positive impact as Director of Operations.
Although large in stature, James possessed the gentlest of hearts that touched everyone he met. James had a unique gift of making everyone he knew feel important and because of this, he enjoyed the wealth of countless friendships.
James had many passions such as curling, baseball, and travel. His greatest passion however was being a devoted father to his two sons.
James will be dearly missed by sons, Dave and Sean (Shawna), his mother Linda Holmes (Barry), his father Gerald Plastow, and his brother Brian (Kristine), many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents and his brother Kenneth.
