Obituary of Pius Alexander Anderson
It is with great sadness and our hearts were broken that the family of the late Pius A Anderson announces his passing on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the age of 56. He was the son of the late Alexander and Bernice (Hillard) Anderson. He leaves to mourn with fond memories his brothers, Peter (Mary), Dion (Doreen), sisters, Mary, Joanne (Don), Suzanne (Randy) and sister –in- law, Nancy (Tom), nieces and nephews, Bradley, Brandon, Shelly, Devin, Angela, Racheal, Samantha and Kylie, nine great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and a lot of great friends. Pius was predeceased by love of his life, Joyce Osmond, grandparents, James and Harriett Hillard and Fred and Margaret Anderson, brother in law, Micheal Moore and nephew, Clifford. Pius was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. He deeply loved cutting wood, guiding in the fall of the year and a good game of cribbage. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, January 30th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00. A wake service will be held 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 31st at 11:00 with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to follow at Mount St. Thomas Cemetery, Great Codroy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques, 695-7010. Words of comfort can be sent to the family by visiting www.oceansidefh.ca
