Obituary of Phyllis Walsh
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Phyllis Walsh(nee Bennett) of Kelligrews. March 14, 1935- June 5, 2020.Phyllis was 85 when she passed into eternal peace. Beloved wife of Philip for 56 years and cherished by her children Beverly Ann (Roy), Michael (Michele), Randy (Elizabeth) and Patrick (Heather) along with Nannie’s treasures- Ashley, Matthew, Paige and Peyton. Special nephew Paul (Mary) and family. Brother Dominic Bennett of Bishop’s Falls. Along with large circle of family and friends she will be greatly missed by all! Phyllis loved her family dearly but Bingo was a close second. She enjoyed scratch tickets, baking and was known for her generosity and compassion.She always had a Cherry cake and a joke to share. she kept her sense of humour until her final days. Phyllis truly loved family meals especially Sunday dinner. Phyllis was a devoted Foster Parent for over 30 years. Thank-you to the Staff at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home who took such good care of her. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, a private family gathering will take place prior to cremation, followed by a private family inurnment at St. Edward’s Cemetery in Kelligrews.In lieu of flowers, you may wish to consider a donation to the Gathering Place.
