Betty Howell passed away in Red Deer on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at the age of 99 years. She was born on May 4, 1921 in Pine Lake, AB. She lived in the Pine Lake/Howell’s Lake District until moving to Red Deer in 1971. She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Sheila Vale (Les), Reid Howell (Chuckie and daughter Marcie) and Pam Hambrook (Al); grandchildren, Rhonda Curry (Greg), Lawrence Vale (Tracey), Dean Vale (Julie), Shannon Giberson (Dylan) and Dean Meier (Karen); great-grandchildren, Jayden, Keaten, Brodie, Brooklyn, Wyatt, Kelsey, Meghan and Jenna; nephew, Bob Prockiw (Linda). She was predeceased by her sister, Pam Prockiw (Joe). Betty loved music, nature and dancing, and belonged to the Waskasoo Singers at the Golden Circle for a number of years. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Betty’s name may do so to the Central Alberta Humane Society, 4505 – 77 St. Red Deer, AB T4P 2J1. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
