Obituary of Phillip Osmon
OSMON: Phillip James –
A resident of Toronto, born in Chatham, Phillip Osmon passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the age of 35 after a long battle with mental illness.
Phillip will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend Janice Tofflemire, his parents Gwen Claxton and Frederick (Christina) Osmon and his brothers and sister, Chad Allen Ritchie, Nadine Osmon, and Matthew Osmon. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandparents Frederick G. (Marian) Osmon, and his in-laws Teresa (Erwin) Wilson, Jennifer (Peter) Lacey, and Steven Tofflemire. Phillip will be dearly missed by his many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Predeceased by grandparents Ron and Carole Claxton and Janet Osmon.
Phillip was an infantryman with the Es and Kent Scottish Regiment from 2002-2007. He received a Bachelors of Forensic Science from the University of Windsor (2007) and studied genetics technology at The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences (2010). Phillip worked as a genetics technologist at Toronto General Hospital since 2010. Phillip will be remembered for his kind heart, intelligence, creativity, and sense of humour. He loved music and was an amateur musician, he had a passion for movies, theatre, and art, and he loved camping and being outdoors.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be posted when available.
