Obituary
Dad passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer in the Kerrobert Long Term Care Facility with his family by his side.
Philip was the youngest of 10 children, born in the family farm house to Russian/German parents Steven and Katherine. He was a mixed farmer. His passion was his shop where he took pride fabricating many items which can still be found and used in various communities. The shop was where mom would usually find him. Another enjoyment of his was playing the harmonica, which he had done since he was a boy. We all loved hearing him play, especially mom.
He was a family man who worked very hard to care for us, so we never went without, and was always there for support. He was strong, hard working, friendly, talkative and full of life with energy to spare!
He was a great son who always looked after his mother very well until her passing. After 58 years of marriage his beloved Elizabeth passed away. Which was a very deep loss for him, he was always lost after that, but had his children close.
We will sure miss you. Rest peacefully dad.
Philip is survived by his 4 children: Sheila (Ken) Huckabay, Lila Lang, Eric (Laverne) Lang, Vera (Dennis) Woodrow; 9 entertaining grandchildren: Scott, his daughters Jeneva and Edyne, Kurt, Tyler (Gemma) their son Ethan, Wendy, her sons Wyatt and Brody, Luella, Lacey (Ryan) their children Jaxtin and Rayna, Lynnsy, her son Cole, Ryan, Ashley (Kyle) their children Karnel and Kacy.
