Peter MacCormack Sunday January 19th 2020

MACCORMACK, Peter Kenneth, retired Master Warrant Office, passed away suddenly at Englewood, Florida on Sunday, January 19, 2020, in his 78th year; beloved husband of Lise MacCormack (nee Lefebvre), loving father of two sons and their families: Pete (Lisa Bonnar), Piper (Tom Avling), Kevin (Christine Clément), and Anthony Vocioni. Peter was predeceased by his parents Lillian Fullman and Douglas MacCormack and will be remembered always by his sister: Cynthia (Joe Roobol), and cousin Pam MacCormack. Born in Croydon, England, raised in Ottawa, Peter entered the Canadian Military Armed Forces (RCAF) and was posted in places such as Lahr (Germany), Trenton (Ontario), and finally, Ottawa. After 25 years of service with the armed forces, Peter retired from the military and settled with his wife and boys enjoying cottage life on Red Horse Lake during the summer months, followed by winters in Florida with his wife. His pride and joy were his two sons and the love of his life, Lise. Peter will be sadly missed by his many friends and family. You were, and always will truly be, an “Officer and a Gentleman” and will live on in our memories forever holding a special place in our hearts.
A ceremony to celebrate Peter’s life will be held in the chapel at IRVINE FUNERAL HOME, 4 James Street, East, Brockville, Ontario on Friday, January 31, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. with a small reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions in Peter’s memory be made to the Wounded Warriors Canada organization.
