Obituary
Peter Wieler passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the age of 82 years at St. Paul’s Home in Dauphin, MB. He died of natural causes.
Lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy; and daughters Terry (Shawn Zroeack) Wieler, their children James and Theresa, their grandchildren Jac and Westly, Wendy Churchill, her children Amber and Joshua, her grandchild Neha, Denita Wieler; and son Robert; twelve brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews; four brothers-in-law John Klassen, his children Nadine and Lisa, Katie and Halely; Ben Klassen, Benjamin and Christy Klassen, James (Bonnie) Klassen, their children Adam and Jacob; their grandchildren Oscar and Cody, William Klassen, Scott (Jennifer) McKena and their children Zoe and Jazmine; sister-in-law Caren Sinclair.
Peter was predeceased by his only son Robert Wieler; his parents Henry and Elizabeth (Nikkel) of Austin, MB.
Peter worked on many farms in the MacGregor and Portage la Prairie area. He also worked at Portage Base for a couple of years. He was a big rig (semi) trucker for many years. He drove across Canada and the United States hauling freight. He enjoyed his job. He also liked the outdoor life. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and duck hunting. He liked gardening and his flowerbeds. He also loved his little dog, Napoleon, who will miss him.
Cremation has taken place and interment will be at a later date at the Sommerfeld Cemetery in Austin, MB.
