Peacefully on Thursday May 21 2020 at home in Elk Lake Ontario surrounded by family Peter Lawrence Bennett passed away at the age of 61.
Loving husband and life partner of 11 years Doris. Will be missed by family friends and acquaintances. Lovingly missed by his dog Maggie. Pete loved the outdoors, fishing canoeing boating and hitting the trails on the quad, old cars, and especially loved sitting around a nice roaring fire. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

  1. I am so sorry to learn of Peter’s passing and my heartfelt condolences go out to Doris, Jeremy, and the rest of his family. I will always remember him as a good friend who could keep you entertained with his love for others and his memories. He was an avid outdoorsman who was just as happy to sit out on the lake fishing or searching the shoreline for small critters. We enjoyed occasional evenings together over a few games of cribbage after a good homecooked meal by my wife Nancy, laughing and joking while trying to concentrate on the game. It didn’t matter so much who won, it was just great camaraderie. I am missing you so much my friend…until we meet again Bob <3

  2. Just heard of Pete’s passing, he will be sadly missed by all the fuel guy’s in Sarnia that worked along side him for years. I will make a trip to Bennett’s landing and this year on Lake Wahwashkesh and cast a line out. Life is short and I’m torn inside that I didnt make the time to make the trip up North to see the new life he created for himself…..RIP Brother
