Obituary of Peggy Sedgwick
SEDGWICK, PEGGY- 78, of Kingston, ON passed away on Sunday, the 7th of June. Born in Cark and Cartmel, England, her family moved to Canada when she was a child. She grew up in Huntingdon, Quebec and later retired in Kingston with her beloved husband of 20 years, Jean Guy Bournival by her side.
Peggy was a vibrant and treasured mother of two strong women, Erika Graffunder (Cerver) and Tania Fleming (Chris) and loved Jean Guy’s three children Robert Bournival (Annik), Louise Bournival (Michel), and Sylvie Bournival (Alain) .
Peggy was a nurturing RN who subsequently became a massage therapist.
She was one of six siblings including Eric Sedgwick (Jeanine), Gertie Sedgwick (Keith), Fred Sedgwick who passed in March (Doreen), Shirley Dear (Larry), and Carol Sedgwick.
Friends and loved ones describe Peggy as determined, caring, energetic and fiercely loving. After retiring, gardening, travelling, caring for her grandchildren, and being outdoors kept her busy.
She was a proud grandmother to Maxime, Heather, Zander, Julia, Zara, and Summer.
The family is holding a private service, but they look forward to a celebration of Peggy’s life when larger gatherings are permitted. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Peggy Sedgwick 2020..

  1. Dear Erika, Tanya & family,
It was my privilege to have had Peggy as a dear friend for over 60 years! We attended school, dated, went to dances, delivered newspapers, went through St Mary’s School of Nursing, got married, had children, worked, traveled, gardened, retired, shopped, laughed & cried together!!
Peggy was always there when you needed her, encouraging, optimistic, laughing, cooking, helping & loving!! She will be in my heart forever.
You all have my deepest sympathy, Jean Guy, sending you great big hugs!!
    Most sincerely, Pat Baker
