Obituary
CHAFE, Peggy Louise (Nov. 21, 1946 – Oct. 10, 2020) – It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Peggy Louise Chafe at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital after battling illness for a number of years. Predeceased by her parents, George and Shirley LeDuc.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, John; children: Tammie Chafe, Alex Chafe (Andrea), Shaun Chafe (living in Alberta); special granddaughter, Brooke Chafe (living in British Columbia); grandchildren, Zachary (April) and Tara Dobbin; great-granddaughter, Scarlet; sisters: Geraldine Howlett (Don), Lindy Wilson (Dave), Deborah and Cindy LeDuc, Evelyn Rudowe, Valerie Thomas; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors who attended to Peggy’s needs at St. Clare’s Hospital and to the ambulance staff for the high level of care given to all. It is greatly appreciated.
By request, cremation has taken place. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, from 12noon-4pm and 7-9pm. A celebration of Peggy’s life will occur at Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 2:00pm, followed by interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Columbarium, James Lane.
