1928-2020
It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of Pearlina Mary
Ripley, 91, of Amherst, NS, and formerly of Sackville,
NB, at Gable’s Lodge, Amherst, on Tuesday, February, 18,
2020. Born in Sackville, Pearlina was a daughter of the late
Brae and Pearl (Allen) Turner.
Pearlina was a member of the First
Baptist Church, Amherst.
A hard and dedicated worker, she was
formerly employed with AC Milner (Law Firm) for 15 years, and had been
in the North Nova Scotia Highlanders, Militia. In addition,
she was a member of the Sergeant’s Mess.
Pearlina loved to drive and her skills
behind the wheel were well known.
She will be sadly missed by three sons,
Ian, Thunder Bay, ON, Warren, Amherst, and Corey in Alberta; two
grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Hicks, Sackville; brothers, Douglas
Turner, Sackville, and Walter Turner, Ontario and David Turner,
NS.
Besides her parents, Pearlina was
predeceased by husband Ralph in 2008; a daughter, Trina Laurline, and
her brothers, Arthur, Harold, Walter, and Clarence.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of the Jones Family Funeral
Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst
(902-667-8777). Honouring Pearlina’s wishes, there is to be
no services or visitation at this time. A graveside service
will be held in the Amherst Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in memory of Pearlina may be
made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
