Pauline’s Obituary
VERRET, Pauline Jean ~ Age 93 of Nictaux, N.S., passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020, in the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home, Annapolis Royal. Born in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Laura (McCormack) O’Hara. Pauline loved working with her hands doing ceramics, sewing, knitting, crocheting and tole painting. She was employed as an administrative assistant for many years and was a 30 year cancer survivor. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Albert, in 1994. Together they made homes in Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island and Zweibrucken, Germany, as a result of Albert’s service in the Royal Canadian Air Force, before permanently settling in Nictaux. Pauline will be sadly missed by her daughter, Michele Verret, Kingston; son, Scott (Heather) Verret, Halifax; granddaughter, Sarah Verret, Halifax, step-granddaughters, Julia and Erin Lummis, Halifax. In keeping with Pauline’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Donations in Pauline’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
