Pauline’s Obituary
Smith, Pauline Ethel – Age 88 of Tatamagouche, passed away March 23, 2020 in Willow Lodge Home for Special Care, Tatamagouche. Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Nellie (Turner) Conley. Pauline grew up in Truro and worked for Cadbury’s and Electrical Distributors in Truro. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and home maker. She spent many hours volunteering at Sharon United Church, the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Willow Lodge and was a proud long-time community member of Tatamagouche and Brule Point. She set the bar high, and we as a family are better for it. Pauline is survived by her husband, Jules “Tip” Smith; her children, Brad Smith and wife, Keltie, and their sons, Matthew and Daniel; Lisa Smith, Vancouver, B.C.; Corey Smith and wife, Gayle, and their children, Ellen and Emmet; sisters, Joan (Jim) Fraser, Vancouver, B.C. and Shirley Grant, Truro; sisters-in-law, Shirley Conley and Janice Conley, both of Bedford. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie; brothers, Donald “Donnie” and Douglas “Doug”; brother-in-law, Walter Grant. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche, with no visitation or funeral service to be held. Donations in her memory can be made to Willow Lodge, Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or Sharon United Church.
