Paul’s Obituary
Marcott, Paul Charles – Debert, N.S. (December 16, 1963 – May 20, 2020) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Paul Marcott after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in New Glasgow, he is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Mary Rita “Mae” (MacNeil) Marcott; brother, Sandy; and baby, John. Paul lived in Debert with his beloved wife, Angie (Reeves) and Mother-in-Law, “Goose” Reeves; and his dogs, Oliver and Lucy. Also surviving are his daughter, Molly, Halifax; sisters, Joan Marie Harris, Charlottetown; Tony Pelerine (Wayne), New Glasgow: brother, Dave (Nancy), New Glasgow. Paul was a loving uncle to Erica, Stephen, Robbie, Joey, Daniel, Bradley, Andrea, Michelle, Victoria, Connor, Chance, Patience, and Summer and many grand nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Nancy. He was proud to be named honourary grandfather to Aurora and Max. He was a seventeen-year employee of Polymer Intertape, Truro. A true Northender, Paul, or as he was known to many “Busk”, was a great hockey player and enjoyed rugby, tennis and ball hockey. A loyal Habs fan, he could always be found on the ice and enjoyed many trips to the infamous McGee’s field. An animal lover and dog trainer, dogs were loyal companions his whole life – he especially loved, Lisa, Jesse James, Oliver and Lucy. He loved the beach and enjoyed many summers swimming at Melmerby Beach no matter how cold the water. An avid camper, he spent every summer weekend he could camping with Angie and the dogs. Paul had a unique sense of humour that brightened the day no matter the situation. This same quality could also get him into trouble and he loved to “annoy” people for fun. There will be a graveside service at Monument Hill Cemetery in Richmond, Cumb. Co., at a later date with a time to celebrate his life following the service in the Wallace and Area Museum. A special Thank you to the Hematology Department in Halifax, the Dialysis team in Truro, The Lodge That Gives, Halifax, Sharon and Angela for the Go Fund Me account and all who contributed, it was greatly appreciated, and Wendy and Molly for all your help. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. Memorial donations to The Lodge That Gives would be appreciated.
