Paul Armand Balez February 24th 2020

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the death of our Husband, Father, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, Uncle and friend, Paul Balez on February 24, 2020 at the age of 92 years.
Paul leaves to mourn his wife of 71 years, Cecilia; children Tom, Lynda (Merle) Ross, Cathy (Gary) Heidt, Marney (Dave) Kuntz, Paul (Donna); grandchildren Devin (Stephanie) Ross, Tana Ross Kloster, Jessi McBride, Jaymie (Jordan) Walker, Sara (Ryan) Norris, Lauren Allan, Jared Kuntz, Anthony Balez, Amanda (Randy) Brown; great-grandchildren Jade, Kenzie, Haley, James, Syla, Carter, Dylan, Jordan, RJ, Mason, Leo, Violet, Emmitt, and Arlo. He was loved and is sadly missed by numerous friends, nieces and nephews, and their families.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Marcel Etienne and Clara (Tremblay), and brothers Leo and Maurice.
Paul was born on June 12, 1927 in Bryant, Saskatchewan; lived in Gravelbourg until he was 6, then the family moved to Radville and he worked with CN Railway after leaving school. He moved his family to Regina in 1952 to take on the job of City of Regina Bus Driver for 25 years. His children would often jump on the bus on Sundays to visit with their dad and bring him lunch on the 13th Avenue route. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and won the title for largest Saskatchewan moose in 1968. The mount still proudly hangs in his family room with his collection of 200 plus hats from all over the world. Paul always had a story to tell, bringing to life memories long forgotten by many. He amazed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with detailed stories always adding his special twist to his stories to keep everyone laughing. He was always there to lend a hand helping fix something broken on your car or that pipe that froze during the winter. Call him day or night, he’d always be there.
Nothing can ever take away the love our hearts hold. Our dear, fond memories will linger every day. We love you Dad.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held in the summer of 2020. Special thanks is extended to Bob Wolfe, R.N., and homecare staff for the exceptional care given to Dad. As well, thanks to all family and friends who assisted in making Dad’s final years so comfortable.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Paul Armand Balez February 24th 2020..
