Obituary of Patrick Dickson
Patrick John Dickson 1939 – 2020
With gratitude for a joyful life, we would like to acknowledge the passing of our dear father and grandfather, Patrick John Dickson, on December 10th, 2020 at NHS – St. Catharines. Pre-deceased in June by his beloved wife Ruth Anne, Pat leaves behind his devoted children, Daniel (Jennifer) Dickson and Julia (Steven) Eckert. He revelled in special times with his cherished grandchildren, Jade, Patrick, Cooper, and Tanner. Pat is survived by his loving brothers Bill (Cathy) and Don, and dear cousin Corinne. He was a special and treasured uncle to: Tracy (Steve) Grant and their children Chris, Sean, Ryan, and Daniel; Christine Juras and her children Mikael and Meghan; Scott (Suanne) Braun and their children Taylor and Derek. As a young man Pat trained and worked as a machinist for GM – St. Catharines, after which he took great pride in his career teaching at Thorold High School from 1964 to 1992. Pat had a love of life and an appreciation for the many blessing he received. He loved to spend time with family and friends. Pat and Ruth were the consummate hosts, not only at their home in St. Catharines, but also at Lake Seminole Resort in Florida and at their cottage at Jack’s Lake. Arrangements have been entrusted to GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. If desired, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
In following Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be livestreamed on Saturday December 19th, 2020 at 2:00 pm at www.silverspire.ca
