Obituary
Patrick Louis Harrington passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on September 3, 2019 at Ashcroft, B. C., at 82 years of age.. He was born October 22, 1936, in Dublin, Ireland, to James Harrington and Anne Reck. Pat immigrated to Canada in 1958, where he spent a short time in Vancouver before accepting a position at Chilco Ranch in the Chilcotin. The time he spent and the friends he made in the Chilcotin were always dear to his heart. In 1967 he married Marianne Larsen, they were blessed with a daughter Shannon in 1968, and a son Reid in 1972. Pat spent his working career in the trucking industry in Williams Lake. In 2007 Pat moved to Ashcroft to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He spent the remainder of his days being a wonderful grandfather. He is survived by his children, Shannon Brown (Kurtis), Reid Harrington (Angela), his grandchildren, Pearce Patrick Brown, Skylar Anne Marie Brown, Greysen Reid Harrington, Taylor Shea Harrington, his sister Philomena Brophy (Joe), several nieces and nephews of Dublin, Ireland, his ex-wife Marianne Drinnan, and his brother-in-law Steven Larsen. Pat will be remembered for his wonderful stories, and his love for and dedication to his children and grandchildren. RIP Papo, you now have a whole new audience for your tall tales.
