Dean, Patricia Margaret, 74, Bible Hill, passed away
peacefully, Wednesday, November 25, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New
Glasgow. Born in Amherst, NS, she was the middle child of
the late Clifford and Olive (Tucker) Amos. Pat spent most of
her working years as an executive secretary, excelling at shorthand
dictation. She began work at SK&F in Montreal, QC.
While living in Ontario, Pat worked for legal firms, an electronic
company executive and Family & Children’s Services.
After returning to the Maritimes, she married James Dean and worked at
the Burchell MacDougall Law firm, Truro. Her last years of
employment were spent at the Netukulimkewe’l Commission in Truro,
NS.
Pat is survived by her two daughters, Wendy Hillier and
husband Scott, Berwick, NB, Stacey Dunlap, Truro, NS. Pat had three
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; Ashley Dunlap and son
Tyler, Truro, Emily Dunlap and son Grayson, Truro, and Daniel Hillier,
Berwick. Pat is also survived by her older brother Don Amos and wife
Joan, Florida, her uncle, Randall Goodwin, Truro, NS.
As per family request, funeral service and family gathering
will be held at a later date with interment in the Blackmore Memorial
Cemetery, North River, NS. Arrangements are under the direction of the
Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Donations in
memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Private messages of
