November 29, 1935 – July 15, 2020
Peacefully at Caressant Care Cobden with his loving wife at his side on Wednesday July 15, 2020 at the age of 84 years. Chink Lance , beloved husband of Ethel Lance (nee Resmer). Loved father of Melvin Lance, Calgary, Bonnie Lou Pleau (Gerry), Michael Lance both of Pembroke, Karen Gutoskie (Terry), Eganville, Reio Lance (Colleen), Calgary and Sheila Kramer (Paul), Petawawa. Predeceased by his son Steve Lance. Loving grandfather to Bianca, Kyle, Reia, Candice, Jana, Reio Jr., Prittania, Nina, Chantal, Michelle, Bryce and Brody and 11 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Josephine McDougall (late William), Toronto, Leona Raymond (late Ernest), Marilyn St. Goddard (Roger), both of Pembroke and the late Alphonse Lance. Brother-in-law of Anita Lance. Son of the late Alphonse and Victoria Lance. Sadly missed by all his nieces and nephews. Respecting Chink’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday July 23rd at 11:00 a.m. In St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke. MASKS MUST BE WORN AND SOCIAL DISTANCING RESPECTED AT THE GRAVESIDE. In memory of Chink, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County would be appreciated. Arrangements in care of the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Pembroke.
