Pamela Kimberley McCaughey (Ritchie)
Pamela “Pam” K. McCaughey, 62, of Moncton,
passed away after a brief illness with her loving husband at her side
on Thursday, November 26, 2020. Born in Chapleau, ON, she was the
daughter of Terry M.B. LeBlanc and the late Donald
Ritchie.
Pamela spent her early years living on
Prince Edward Island, before moving to Moncton. After graduation from
UNB, she worked for a number of years in broadcast and print media.
She was an artist, jewelry maker and author, writing two books on the
history of the Moncton Fire Department, “Not For The
Glory” in 1995 and “Living in the Line of
Fire” in 2017.
In addition to her mother, Pamela will
be sadly missed her husband of 35 years, Thomas
“Tom” McCaughey; mother in law, Dorothy McCaughey;
stepbrothers, David Yeomans (Lynn Reid) and Dale Yeomans (Cathy); her
five loving cats, Kiya, Kipling, Meri, Ankhe and Tut; aunt, Margaret
Ferguson (late Ken); numerous cousins; and two special phone friends,
Brigitte Rehwagen of PEI and Brenda McQuinn of Ohio,
USA.
In addition to her father, Pamela was
predeceased by her father in law, Thomas S. McCaughey; step father,
Reginald LeBlanc and step mother, Joyce Ritchie.
In keeping with Pamela’s
wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service.
Interment will be held in the Murray Harbour North Cemetery,
PEI.
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain
Road, Moncton (858-1995) have been entrusted with Pamela’s
arrangements.

Greater Moncton SPCA, Ca-R-Ma, or Diabetes Canada would be
