Orval L. Cowan
1938 – 2020
Orval passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at his home in Redvers, SK at the age of 81 years.
Orval will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years Priscilla Cowan (nee Handfield); 3 children, Sharon (Doug), Dale (Monique) and Melanie (Wayne); grandchildren, Breanna (Dominic)., Charmain (Martin), Brett (Amy), Josie (Tyler), Blaine (Breanne), Ryan (Jami), Brady, Janelle (Kenton), Derek and Blake as well as 7 great grandchildren. Orval will also be deeply missed by his siblings, Bernice, Iola, Phyllis (Mac), Cecilia (Norman), Murvyn (Joan) and Lyle (Anne) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and Priscilla’s family members.
Orval was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Linda Cowan; sisters, Marjorie (Ernie), Dorothy (Ernie) and Norma; brothers, Theodore and Cecil and brothers-in-law, Art and Don as well as other family members.
The Memorial Service for Orval will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fern United Church, RM of Storthoaks, SK with Bev Ireland officiating. Interment will take place at Fern Cemetery following the service and the lunch reception will be held at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall, Storthoaks.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the RM of Storthoaks, Box 40, Storthoaks, SK, S0C 2K0 (designate to the Fern United Church & Cemetery Fund).
