Obituary
Oris Allen Rider was born on June 22, 1938 on his parent’s homestead near Buffalo Lake, Alberta. He passed away on October 23, 2020 in Stettler, Alberta at the age of 82 years.
Oris will be sadly missed by his daughters Karen (Red) Sorensen, Nancy Rider, and Jane Rider; his son Murray Rider (Marylou Macasa); grandchildren Breann Sorensen, Mykayla Sorensen (Jesse Anderson), Morgan and Jessie Sorensen, Mackenzie Sorensen, Baileigh Sorensen, Willow Sorensen, McKenna Rider, Kaileb Rider, Gracia Pelle, Anekin Pelle and Damaris Pelle; his sisters Vivian (Otto) Fodor, and Betty Rider; brother-in-law Frank Chinn; sister-in-law Faye Chinn; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
Oris was predeceased by his wife Nellie Rider; parents Jack and Alma Rider; sister Orlene Cire; mother-in-law Meryle Chinn; father-in-law Julian Chinn; and his step-mother-in-law Lorraine Chinn.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a private family Funeral Service will be held by invitation only. An interment will take place at the Lake View Cemetery in Stettler, Alberta.
