Obituary of Olive Williams
Williams: Olive
Olive passed away peacefully on Dec 3rd 2020, after a short battle with cancer, just weeks before her 76th birthday. Olive Mary Elaine White was born in a farmhouse in Moosomin, Saskatchewan in 1944. She was raised on her parent’s family farm by her parents; James and Susan White along with her two brothers, Hal and Dale. Olive met the love of her life Courtney Cyril Williams while working as a Nurses Aide at the Salvation Army Hospital in Winnipeg Manitoba. Cyril Williams proposed on Valentines Day, 1966 and Olive happily agreed. They eloped on March 3rd, 1966 and were married at the Anna Dale Anglican Church in Toronto Ontario. They were married for 56 years. Together they lovingly raised 5 children; Susan (Greg), Cyril, Lorrie-Ann (Gordon), Kimberley (John) and Cathy (Nicholas). Olive also had 4 step children; Shirley, James, Richard and Norma. She had 26 grandchildren and many great grandchildren who she adored and showered with love whenever she could. In 1985, Olive and Cyril re-located from Manitoba to Ontario and raised their family there. Olive loved her family, her music and dancing but most of all she loved her husband and love of her life Cyril (Cy). The deep love for her husband and family was present in all her endeavours. This was obvious in all conversations with Olive, as well as in the mementos, letters and photos that she kept and cherished over the years. Olive enjoyed a long and full life and she can now rest easy knowing that she was loved, so loved. A Family Funeral Service will be held on Monday December 7, 2020 at 12 Noon. Those who are unable to attend are welcome to view the service via Live Stream by visiting Olive’s obituary at www.falconerfuneralhomes.com
