1933-2020
It is with sadness we announce the
peaceful passing of Margaret Olive
Deacon, age 87, of Springhill, NS. Olive
passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Sunday,
December 27, 2020.
Born in Springhill, NS, she was a
daughter of the late Harris and Ida (Porter) Dickie.
Olive worked as a bank teller at the
CIBC, Springhill branch for 17 years. She was a former
school teacher. She enjoyed the outdoors and her pets. Olive
was a loving and devoted wife and mother.
She is dearly missed by her sons, Brian
of Springhill and Paul (Marijo), Wyvern, NS.
She was predeceased by her husband Ivor
in 1998; brother, Vaughn; infant brother Harris and infant sister
Annie.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5
McFarlane Street, Springhill (902-597-2361). A public
funeral service will be held at the A H Brown Funeral Home, on
Thursday at 11 am, William Drysdale, DLM officiating. In
keeping with COVID Restrictions, no visitation will be held.
Please wear a mask and respect social distancing. Burial
will take place in the Glenville Cemetery in the
spring.
Donations in memory of Olive may be made
to the charity of your choice.
