Obituary of Oldrich a.k.a. Jim Lecjaks
LECJAKS – Oldrich “Jim”
Peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Monday, October 19, 2020 at the age of 88 years. Oldrich “Jim” Lecjaks, for the past 66 years has been the loving & devoted husband of Dorothy (nee Dickerson) whom he married in North Bay in 1954. He was predeceased by his parents Alois & Emilie and sister Vlasta. Born in Decin, Czech Republic, Jim came to Canada in the 1950’s. Jim spent many years volunteering with teenager children in YBC Bowling league. He was a long time employee of CN Express and retired in 1987. He and Dorothy were seasoned travelers, spending many trips in their RV, trips back home to Europe and cruising around the world. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 10 am until 11:30 am. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel. Followed by the internment in the family plot at Nipissing Union Cemetery. To reserve a time for Visitation, or to attend the funeral services please call the Martyn Funeral Home at 705-472-8810. Due to the current pandemic restrictions, those in attendance at the visitation and funeral service must wear a Mask and respect Social Distancing Guidelines. If desired donations to North Bay Regional Health Centre Critical Care Unit will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
