Normand Forest
We have just lost a great man. It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the death of Normand Joseph Forest, in Sudbury, on Saturday June 27, 2020 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Marie-Paule (Lavallée) Forest. Son of the late Donat and the late Maria (Corriveau) Forest. Beloved father of Sylvie Forest Palkovits (Robert), Josée Forest-Niesing (Robert) and Dominique Forest (Kieran Milne). Dear brother of Lucille Gallien (late Alban), Joseph Forest (late Jeannette), Agnès Noël (late Léonard). Predeceased by his brother Gabriel Forest (Jacqueline) and by his sisters Evelyn Michel (late Antoine) and Noëlla Vincent (late Rhéal) and little Reïna. Beloved grandfather of Mathieu Palkovits, Dani Palkovits, Véronique Niesing, Philippe Niesing, Jacqueline Forest-Chomyn and Mykola Forest-Chomyn. Great grandfather of Félix, Théo and Jacob.
Due to restrictions imposed by the pandemic, the celebration of life will be limited to a private and intimate family gathering. Those who may wish to, are invited to share anecdotes, stories and photos via: NormandJosephForest@gmail.com. These will be included in a collection of tributes in honour of Normand, beloved husband, father, brother, friend, colleague, mentor and community leader.
