Norma’s Obituary
HOPKINS, Norma J. – age 85, Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 4, 1935 in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Murray and Ruth (Whynot) Schnare. Norma was a retired school teacher and former principal at Milton Elementary School for 34 years and she was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She had also volunteered with the Yarmouth Food Bank for 25 years as well as with the Canadian Red Cross in Yarmouth. She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Ramey, Rossfield, NS. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bruce R. Hopkins. In accordance with Norma’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth, and there will be no visitation or memorial service. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
