Noreen Sharpe
December 23, 1934 – February 26, 2020

Passed peacefully in her sleep the morning of February 26, 2020 . Born in St John’s in 1934 as the youngest daughter within a large, loving family. Predeceased by her parents Dr. Leo Sharpe and Nellie (Ellen) Sharpe (nee Bishop) as well as her beloved siblings Bernard, Zita, Duncan Sharpe, Eleanor Blair, Dr. Edward Sharpe, and Patricia Russell. Left to mourn are her sisters Geraldine (Jill) Parker and Irene Normandin (Washington DC), brother-in-law Paul Russell, sister-in-law Linda Sharpe as well as many nieces and nephews. Noreen always had a smile on her face and had a wonderful sense of humour. She was devoted to her family, loved children, was an avid gardener, and had a rewarding career with Air Canada. She will be deeply missed and remembered with fondness. Thank-you to the staff at Tiffany Village Retirement Residence, especially the staff of the 4th floor, and her family physicians Dr. Amanda Coleman and Dr. Michael Kennedy for their exceptional attentive care and treatment during her disabling illness. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 4, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Caul’s Chapel, 84 LeMarchant Road. There will be no formal visitation, but family members will be available for the hour prior to the service if anyone wishes to pay their respects. Reception to follow at Tiffany Village Retirement Residence, 50 Tiffany Court from 3:30 – 5:00 pm. Inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society NL.
