Nora’s life was the music she loved and lived. She taught music for over 30 years with the former RC School Board for St. John’s. Her gentleness and words of encouragement allowed her students to thrive, to create, and to perform with confidence and excellence. She brought beauty into our lives through her exquisite and sensitive piano playing in schools, churches and the community. Her faithful service to several parishes as organist spanned over 60 years. What comfort and joy she brought to those who had the privilege to hear her play!
Nora was a woman of strong faith, of wisdom, of selfless generosity, and of profound love. Throughout her life, she accepted success with grace, poise and humility. She endured challenges with hope, positivity and acceptance. In every facet of her life, Nora saw the good in others and helped them to see it in themselves.
Nora’s family especially her husband, Pat and daughter, Leanne were her world and her pride and joy. She loved deeply, advised wisely, and supported them unconditionally. She held a special place in her heart for her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
Many people have supported Nora and her family over the past number of years especially during her illness. In particular, the family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Kidney Care Centre who treated Nora with care, compassion, and dignity. Your kindness will always be remembered. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the emergency first responders for their skill, professionalism and sensitivity in our time of need. A special thank you to Father Wayne Bolton and the Bereavement Committee of St. Pius X Parish for their guidance and support during this difficult time.

You can shed tears because she is gone,
Or you can smile because she lived,
She would want you to smile.
