Obituary
Nellie Marion Babiarz, late of Weyburn, SK, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2020 at the age of 96 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Katherine and John; her husband Walter; brothers: William, Fred, John, Tony; and son Jerry.
Nellie is lovingly remembered by her family: daughter Marie (Jim); granddaughters, Jamie (Cole) and Angie (Owen); sister Rose (Bill); brother Ed (Eleanor); sons Jim and Ron, their spouses, children, and grandchildren; as well as many other friends and family.
Nellie Marion Babiarz passed away peacefully September 17, 2020. Born Nellie Bahnuick in Weyburn, SK on December 7, 1923, Nellie lived a long life on the farm near McTaggart, SK. She was married in June 1953 to Walter Babiarz and she had four children. Nellie loved cooking and having family and friends over for Sunday meals. She was well known for her cooking and no one could match her baking. Her love of knick knacks led to a vast collection of salt and pepper shakers which always brought enjoyment to many.
No service will be held in respect of Nellie’s wishes. Due to current protocols and restrictions, please choose to celebrate Nellie’s life in your own way. An interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK with Fr. Francis Plaparampil celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Nellie’s honour may be made to the Weyburn Humane Society, P.O. Box 1062, Weyburn, SK, S4H 2L3.
