Obituary of Neil Huckle
Garnet Neil Huckle, formerly of Thamesville, Palmyra, Melbourne and Glencoe, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Four Counties Health Services peacefully with his family at his side at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Flora Joyce (Parkyn) of 62 years. Survived by his children Linda (Don) Derbyshire of Melbourne, Frank (Lise) Huckle of Windsor, Dwayne (Mary) Henry of Es and Brenda (Bill) Sutherland of Glencoe with whom he has lived with for the past 2 1/2 years. Also fondly remembered by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Frank Huckle and Olive Nash and step-father Ed Nash; sister Margaret Ross and great great granddaughter Ciara. He was proud of his Black Angus cattle, worked for a time in the sugar house, drove truck, worked as an ice man at the Mt. Brydges Arena and farmed until health problems slowed him down in his early 60s. Cremation has taken place. Both Neil and Joyce will be laid to rest together side-by-side at Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville. If desired, donations may be made to Four Counties Health Services Foundation , Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
