Obituary for Nancy Hughes
Nancy Caroline Hughes (nee Jones) passed peacefully at the Oaks in Wallaceburg, Ontario October 4th 2020. Nancy was a teacher and mentor to many, from a little one room schoolhouse, teaching piano, working with mentally disabled youth and her later years giving care and kindness to the elderly. She is Predeceased by her parents Thelma and William (Bill) Jones and survived by her beloved children; daughter Denise A Wood; sons Timothy R Wood and Christopher J (Kaylene) Wood (and their father Richard L Wood). Deeply missed with love by her grandchildren Kristelyn J. Karadimas, Amanda G. Karadimas, Lauren Wood, Aaron Chalmers and Dakotah Atrium. Memories will be fondly shared with her great grandchildren Katerina, Aurora, Benjamin and Hudson and held dear in the hearts of the many friends and extended family. Nancy was forever involved with the Trinity United Church of Wallaceburg Ontario, where she felt comfort, solace and support through the years. She deeply believed in grace and love for all. A Celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 3pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, reservations are required and may be made by clicking here > signup.com/go/egEZSiV < or by calling the funeral home. Masks and social distancing are mandatory.
