Nancy Craig Horsford Saturday May 30th 2020

In Loving Memory of
Nancy Ann Craig (née Horsford)
February 16, 1939 – May 30, 2020, Sudbury, Ontario.
Nancy Craig died peacefully on Saturday, May 30th, 2020 with her loving husband Douglas Craig by her side. Nancy was the cherished mother of Michael Craig (Tracey Craig), Stephanie Craig (Todd Leech), and Jennifer Craig (Ryan McMillan). Special grandmother of Bradley, Hunter, Griffin and Sophie. Dear sister of Peter Horsford predeceased (Mickey Horsford), Greg Horsford (Rebecca Horsford) and Mark Horsford (Lesley Higgins). Loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Dear daughter of Bertha and Henry Horsford both predeceased.
Nancy was a high school teacher for twenty-six years with the Rainbow District School Board before a happy early retirement. She was a passionate reader, a sharp bridge player, and an opera enthusiast. She enjoyed movies, theatre, and figure skating, but her true passion was travel. Nancy was fortunate to have travelled the world. She was a confident, sociable person with an excellent sense of humour and expressive eyes that always brightened the room. Nancy was an adoring mother, a caring wife, a favorite sister, and a generous friend. She will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank the health care team of The Lodge, at Pioneer Manor. Their kindness and compassion will always be remembered.
Due to current events, a memorial service will be held at a later date. In Nancy’s memory, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of Sudbury. For donations or messages of condolence please visit www.lougheed.org www.lougheed.org. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
