Mike (Mitsugu) Nakata passed away on December 29, 2019. He is survived by Joyce, his wife of 40 years. Mike was born and raised in the Westbank community, the son of an orchard farmer. He was a carpenter for his entire career and enjoyed woodworking projects in his retirement, happily spending hours in his fully outfitted workshop. Besides woodwork, he had a great love of the outdoors, especially if it included a fishing hole in the middle of the backwoods. He will be sorely missed by his friends and neighbors, wife and puppy children.
