Myrtle Mildred Thibeau
1928-2020
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of
Myrtle Mildred Thibeau on December 12, 2020 at Monarch Hall,
Riverview, N.B. Born in Chipman, she was the daughter of
Burton Stilwell and Elizabeth (Pyne) Stilwell.
Mum was an avid ball player, curler, golfer, bowler and later
in life became a lovely painter. She loved a good laugh and
always enjoyed holidays and get-to-gethers with her children and
grandchildren. She may have lost her memory, but not her
smile and that sparkle in her beautiful, blue eyes.
She is survived by daughters Sheila (Jerry) Wallace,
Quispamsis; Colleen (Dennis) Chase, Salisbury sons: Raye (Heather)
Thibeau, Calgary, AB; Tracey (Connie) Thibeau, Edmonton, AB,
sister-in-law Dorice Fitzpatrick, Riverview and brother-in-law Yvon
Thebeau, Irishtown, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren across
Canada. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving
husband, Alyre Thibeau; sisters, Marie Graham and Mona McGinley and
infant brother, Raye.
A special thank-you to the first floor staff at Monarch
Hall. We will forever remember the constant love and
kindness shown to her over 8 years. It would be impossible
to thank everyone individually, but please know we truly appreciated
the “above and beyond” care you gave Mum and the compassion
shown while in palliative care.
Arrangements under the care of Cobb’s Funeral Home and
Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview, N.B. (869-2007).
There will be no visitation or funeral service. A family
graveside interment will take place in Chipman at a later
date. For those who wish, a donation in Myrtle’s memory may
be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or charity of the donor’s
choice. Online condolences can be expressed at
