MURRAY Robert “Reginald —

MURRAY, Robert “Reginald”

Reginald Murray passed away peacefully on December 10, 2020, at the age of 93. Reg’s memory will be cherished by his surviving family: his loving wife Violet Hubich; his daughter Carolyn Murray; his sons Bill Murray, Robert Murray, Terry Murray; his grandchildren Danielle Maze, Grant Murray, Kody Murray, Troy Murray, Amber Murray, Gary Murray, Colombe Murray and Jay Murray; as well as his great-grandchildren Emerie Maze and Natalie Murray. Those who went before him include: his first wife Enid Murray and his daughter Sandra Murray.
Born June 1927 in Semans, Saskatchewan, Reg was one of ten children to William and Ida Murray. He was active through his life playing, then eventually coaching hockey and baseball for all of his kids. He met and married Enid in 1956, and they started building their own sports team with five children. When the family was young, they moved to British Columbia and Reg started a 25-year career as a carpenter with BC Tel. Reg and Enid retired to Kelowna, BC in 1993, and sadly Enid passed away in November 2003.
In 2010, Reg met and married his second wife, Violet; they spent the next seven years cruising the oceans and going on multiple bus trips to various casinos. They were able to watch his beloved Toronto Blue Jays when they took a trip to Seattle. WA.
Reg was, above all, a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather who sacrificed everything for his family.
A Graveside Service will be held on August 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Semans Cemetery in Semans, SK.
