Obituary of Muriel Truscott (Merkley)
Muriel passed away peacefully at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KGH) with loving family by her side on Sunday, March 15, 2020, in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Victor, son Larry, granddaughter Lori, sisters Phyllis, Audrey and Thelma and brother Howard. Dear and loving mother of Shirley Shetler (Harold), June Shetler (Clarence), Dorothy Weaver (Ron), Norman (Donna), Ralph (Ramona), Suzann Morris (John), Joyce Klazer (Rick), and Garry (Linda) and dear mother-in-law of Lucy Truscott. Sadly missed by her 25 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Survived by her brother Harold Merkley and by her sisters Barb Brown and Dorothy Sagriff.
With public safety a priority and restrictions in place, a private family service will be held at the Paul G. Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373). Interment Harrowsmith Cemetery. A Celebration of Muriel’s Life for relatives and friends will be held at a later date. For those desiring, memorial donations to the Cancer Society, Lung Association, Odessa Free Methodist Church or the MS Society would be appreciated.
